James Campbell — clarinet

James Campbell has followed his muse to five television specials, more than 40 recordings, over 30 works commissioned, a Juno Award (Stolen Gems), a Roy Thomson Hall Award, Canada’s Artist of the Year, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and Canada’s highest honor, the Order of Canada. Called by the Toronto Star “Canada’s pre-eminent clarinetist and wind soloist”, James Campbell has performed solo and chamber music concerts in 30 countries in many of the worlds great concert halls: London’s Wigmore and Queen Elizabeth Halls, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Paris’s Theatre Champs-Elysees, Washington’s Kennedy Centre and Symphony Hall, Boston.

He has been soloist with over 60 orchestras, including the Boston Pops, the London Symphony, the London Philharmonic, the Russian Philharmonic, and the Montreal Symphony and has performed Copland’s Clarinet Concerto four times with Aaron Copland conducting. He has appeared with over 30 string quartets, including the Amadeus (when he replaced an ailing Benny Goodman on a tour of California), Guarneri, Vermeer, New Zealand, Fine Arts, Allegri and St Lawrence Quartets. Of Campbell’s extensive discography many have won international acclaim. His recording of the Brahms Clarinet Quintet with the Allegri Quartet was voted “Top Choice” by BBC Radio 3 and the London Times and Stolen Gems, a recording of lighter classics, won a Juno Award (Canada’s Grammy). James has recorded with the London Symphony (the world premiere recording of Brahms Sonata Op. 120 No. 1 orchestrated by Luciano Berio and Weber Concerto No.1), the Philharmonia (Debussy Premier Rhapsody), the London Philharmonic (Saint-Saens Tarantella), and the NACO (Mozart and Copland Concertos). Sony Classical has recently re-released his recording of the Debussy Premier Rhapsody with Glenn Gould.

Since 1985, James Campbell has been Artistic Director of the Festival of the Sound, the annual summer Canadian chamber music festival, and has programmed over 1300 concerts for the festival. Under his direction the Festival has traveled to England, Japan, and the Netherlands and it has been the subject of documentaries by BBC Television, CBC Television and TV Ontario.

Campbell is the subject of numerous features and cover stories in Clarinet Magazine (USA), Clarinet and Sax (UK), Piper Magazine (Japan), Gramophone, and in the book Clarinet Virtuosi of Today, by British author and clarinet authority Pamela Weston. James continues to explore and expand musically, his most recent collaboration being Spirit ’20, created at Festival of the Sound in, 2010. The six member ensemble explores the music of the roaring 20’s in new and innovative ways. James Campbell has been Professor of Music at the prestigious Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University since 1988.

Vincente Huerta — violin

Vincente Huerta began his studies at the Unió Musical de Llíria at the age of five, then he studied at the conservatories of Valencia and Barcelona; and finished his studies in the Royal Conservatory of Music of Brussels with professors T. Adamopoulos and Agustín León Ara, obtaining the highest awards and the Virtuosity Award “Avec la plus grand distinction.” He won First prize in the Martínez Baguena, Ciudad de Soria and Gyenes violin competitions.

He has collaborated with world-famous artists such as Yehudi Menuhin, Jorge Bolet, Gerard Causé, Marçal Cervera, Yvry Gitlys, and Nobuko Imai. As a soloist he has performed with an extensive repertoire in most European countries under the baton of conductors like; Gianandrea Noseda, Meir Minsky, Michael Thomas, Robert Jansens, L Dewez, E García Asensio, Max Bragado, Henri Adams, Odón Alonso, Boguslaw Madey, Álvaro Albiach, and many others.

Vicente Huerta has been a violin teacher at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, as well as at the Universitat de Valencia, his students receiving the most important awards in the main international competitions (Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Tibor Varga, Wienawsky, Queen Elisabeth…), as well as prominent positions in many European orchestras.

He recorded the violin part of the original soundtrack composed by Alberto Iglesias for the film “La Piel que Habito” by Pedro Almodóvar, being awarded the “Goya” prize for the best Soundtrack in 2012.

He has been developing an intense pedagogical activity, with many students getting positions in orchestras in Spain and Europe, and he is regularly invited as a teacher in the principal Spanish youth orchestras; JONDE (National Spanish Youth Orchestra), OJA (Andalusia), EGO (Basque Country), JORVAL (Valencian region), OJRM (Murcia), and others.

Trio Helios

Surrounded by Chamber Music since their youngest age, Eva Zavaro (violin), Raphaël Jouan (cello) and Alexis Gournel (piano) have been exploring with passion the diverse repertoire for piano trio.

After meeting at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris, they founded the Hélios Trio in 2014. They have had the opportunity to play in different venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Cortot, the Lyon Opera House, and the Phoenix Hall in Osaka. They are regularly invited to numerous festivals such as the Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron, the “Folles Journées” (Nantes, Tokyo, and Warsaw), Festival Pablo Casals in Prades, Rencontres Musicales d’Evian, Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise, Festival de Beauvais… They have been invited to perform during the live radio show “Générations France Musique”, and have been “Ensemble en résidence” at the Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron in 2015 and 2016 and at the Festival des Arcs from 2016 to 2018.

In 2016, the composer Patrick Otto dedicated his piece “Orients” to them. The same year, they perform for the first time Beethoven’s Triple Concerto which they have played several times since then with orchestras in Paris and Rennes, as well as with the Lyon Opera House Orchestra.

Over the past years, they have gained visibility through several international prizes such as their 2nd Prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition in 2018, as well as their Special Prize at the Liszt Competition and 2nd Prize at the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition in 2019. They were also awarded 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the International Chamber Music Competition of Illzach, the Grand Prize at the AEAFC “Prix d’Europe” Competition, the Honor Prize at the International Léopold Bellan Competition, a Grant from the FNAPEC after their performance during the “Musiques d’Ensemble de Paris” Competition, and the KammerMusik Preis (2018), Klavierkammermusik Preis and Wiener Klassik Preis (2019) at the Isa Festival in Reichenau, Austria.

They studied at the CNSMD of Paris with Claire Désert and Ami Flammer (Bachelor’s degree) and then with Itamar Golan and François Salque (Master’s Degree) and is currently studying in the Artist Diploma Degree (DAI). ECMA members (European Chamber Music Academy) since 2018, they regularly receive the teachings of Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt… The Trio also benefited from masterclasses with the Wanderer Trio, Emmanuel Strosser, Yovan Markovitch, Gary Hoffman, Christian Ivaldi, Guillaume Sutre, Kidon Kremer, the members of the Ebene, Talich and Modigliani Quartets… In March 2018, they were counseled by Gautier Capuçon on the Triple Concerto during a masterclass at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris filmed by Medici.tv.

The Trio is supported by the Fondation Safran and the Fondation l’Or du Rhin, and is represented by the Claire Laballery Agency.

Samuel Espinosa Ruiz — viola

Samuel Espinosa Ruiz graduated from the Royal College of Music in London, he completed his Master’s studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden (Germany) with Professor Pauline Sachse.  He was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) and has collaborated with Spira Mirabilis.  He was an academy member of the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSB), where he was later hired. He obtained a temporary contract at the Leipzig Gewandhausorchester, and has collaborated with the Staatskapelle Dresden, working with conductors such as Daniele Gatti.

He was a fellow of the German chamber music foundation Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz. He won the First Prize and the Critics’ Prize in the El Primer Palau 2015 cycle together with the Vasnier Trio. He is a founding member of the Bambú Ensemble, the only stable string octet on the Spanish music scene and with which he has recently recorded an album for the IBS Classical label with works by Shostakovich and Enescu, among others.

Since 2021 he has been a member of the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, the titular ensemble of the Palau de Les Arts.

Cameron Crozman — Artistic Director — cello

Named “Canada’s next big cello star” by CBC Music and the 2019-20 Classical Revelation artist of Radio-Canada, Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman performs everywhere from the Paris Philharmonie to Quidi Vidi Brewery in St. John’s, NL. He has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras and performed recitals and chamber music across Canada, the USA, and Europe. As the recipient of the Canada Council Michael Measure’s prize, he was the featured soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada during their 2012 tour of Canada and the USA. An avid collaborator and chamber musician, Cameron regularly shares the stage with world-renowned artists including James Ehnes, Augustin Hadelich, André Laplante, and James Campbell.

Cameron’s debut album, Cavatine, recorded on the ca. 1696 “Bonjour” Stradivarius cello, was released to critical acclaim on the ATMA Classique label in 2019, and described by the French publication Classica Magazine as displaying “technical perfection with a personal style that leaves us wanting to hear more.” His most recent release from January 2021, Tapeo, features a program of Spanish-inspired music. His performances have been broadcast on CBC/Radio-Canada, Radio France, Radio Classique, and Medici.tv.

Cameron was one of 6 cellists from around the world chosen to take part in Gautier Capuçon’s 2016-17 Classe d’Excellence at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. After studies with Paul Pulford in Canada, he went on to receive his Master’s level in cello and chamber music from the Paris Conservatoire studying cello with Michel Strauss, chamber music with Claire Désert, and baroque cello with Bruno Cocset. Deeply committed to innovation in classical music, Cameron constantly imagines new ways to share his art with the world. He is active in leading projects commissioning and premiering new music from Canadian composers including Allan Gordon Bell, Alexina Louie, Kelly-Marie Murphy, and Liam Ritz. Believing in the power of music to tell stories, he has recently taken on projects assisting as artistic director in collaboration with Jeunesse Musicales Canada in Montreal and the Festival of the Sound in Parry Sound, ON. He is also at the creative forefront of new chamber music festivals in the Okanagan Valley and in Lliria, Spain, a UNESCO city of music.

Passionate about teaching the next generation, he has been invited to give masterclasses at the Académie Rainier III in Monaco, Mount Royal University Conservatory in Calgary, and the Victoria Conservatory among others. Cameron is grateful for the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, Sylva Gelber Foundation, and CBC/Radio-Canada in his projects.

“With a rich imagination and a keen mind” (Diapason Magazine), Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman leads an active performing career as a soloist and chamber musician in Canada, the USA, and Europe. He has appeared as a soloist with the Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France (Paris), Montreal, Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Vancouver Island Symphonies among others, and performances have taken him everywhere from the Philharmonie de Paris and the Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre, to the Qidi Vidi Brewery of St. John’s, Newfoundland. An avid collaborator and chamber musician, Cameron shares the stage with eminent artists such as James Ehnes, Augustin Hadelich, Louis Lortie, Gérard Caussé, James Campbell, and members of the Ébène, New Zealand, and Penderecki String Quartets.

Winner of the 2021 Canada Council for the Arts Virginia Parker Prize, the Council’s largest award for emerging classical musicians, Cameron was CBC/Radio-Canada’s 2019 Classical Revelation artist and a laureate of Gautier Capuçon’s Classe d’Excellence at the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. Cameron’s debut album, Cavatine, recorded on the ca. 1696 “Bonjour” Stradivarius cello with pianist Philip Chiu, was released in 2019 and described by the French publication Classica Magazine as displaying “technical perfection with a personal style that leaves us wanting to hear more.” He has since recorded a number of CDs for the labels ATMA Classique in Canada and Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo in Monaco. Deeply committed to the music of today, Cameron is active in leading projects commissioning and premiering new music by some of Canada’s most recognized composers including Alexina Louie, Allan Gordon Bell, Liam Ritz, James O’Callaghan, and Kelly-Marie Murphy. After studies in Canada with Paul Pulford, Cameron was a student at the Paris Conservatoire and received his “Prix de violoncelle” with highest honours studying in the class of Michel Strauss and chamber music with Claire Désert and Ami Flammer. In 2018, he received a one year mentorship with violinist James Ehnes as part of the André-Bourbeau award from the Jeunesses Musicales Canada. Passionate about teaching the next generation, he has been invited to give masterclasses at the Académie Rainier III in Monaco, Lawrence University (Wisconsin), University of Montreal, Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo Valencia, and the Escola Superior de Music de Lisboa, among others.

Cameron is the co-founder of ClassicalValley, a festival bringing together chamber music and wine in Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada, and the artistic director of chamber music for the Edeta Arts International Festival in Llíria, Spain, designated a Creative City of Music by the UNESCO. Along with pianist Meagan Milatz, he produces a series of chamber music concerts in Montreal called “HausMusique” in one of North America’s landmark Art Deco spaces, the Grande Salle of 9th floor of the Eaton Centre. He currently plays on a c. 1750 Gennaro Gagliano cello, generously on loan from the Canada Council for the Arts Instrument Bank.

Meagan Milatz,

Piano

Meagan Milatz, winner of the 2024 Prix Opus “Discovery of the Year”, is “a remarkable pianist with a seemingly limitless palette of expression” (Le Devoir). Meagan regularly shares the stage with top international musicians including Andrew Wan, concertmaster of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra; Stefan Dohr, Principal Horn of the Berlin Philharmonic; cellist Matt Haimovitz; and mandolinist Avi Avital. In 2022, Meagan was named co-artistic director of HausMusique, along with cellist Cameron Crozman.
Awarded the 2024 Prix Choquette-Symcox by Fondation Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Meagan’s recent engagements have included performances with Olivier Charlier, Michel Michalakakos, Cho-Liang Lin, Peter Hanson, Olivier Charlier, Pablo Hernán Benedí, Steven Dann, and tubist Øystein Baadsvik, among others. Internationally, Meagan has performed at the New Ross Piano Festival in Ireland in 2023 – the first Canadian musician to be invited – as well as at the Edeta Arts International Chamber Music Festival where she appeared in concert in Spain with violinists Wolfgang Redik in 2024 and Kai Gleusteen, concertmaster of the Orchestra del Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona, in 2022. Meagan recently embarked on a 2024 European recital tour with cellist Cameron Crozman in Italy, France, Malta, and Portugal.
Meagan has appeared as a soloist alongside orchestras such as the Edmonton, Regina, Sherbrooke, and McGill Symphonies. Meagan was top prize winner in the Shean Piano Competition, CFMTA National Piano Competition, and Canadian Music Competition, and the recipient of a Sylva Gelber Music Foundation Award. Her performances are regularly broadcast on CBC/Radio-Canada.
Meagan has a recording contract for nine albums of solo and chamber music with ATMA Classique. She recently recorded an album of music for fortepiano and natural horn alongside Louis-Pierre Bergeron, released in December 2023. She has also launched a brand-new violin-and-piano duo partnership, “Duo M”, alongside Violaine Melançon, renowned violinist and founding member of the Peabody Trio. For the 2019/2020 season, Meagan undertook a 50-concert, Canada-wide tour alongside violinist Amy Hillis as the duo “meagan&amy”, winners of the first-ever Pan-Canadian Partnership Recital Tour offered by Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Debut Atlantic, and Prairie Debut.
Meagan began her studies in Saskatchewan and holds a Master’s degree from McGill University. She is grateful to her teachers and lifelong mentors Cherith Alexander, Ilya Poletaev, Philip Chiu, and Tom Beghin with whom she was greatly privileged to study the fortepiano. Enthusiastic about helping the next generation of young musicians, she is a passionate faculty member of the “Session sonates violon et piano” of Camp Musical du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
Meagan lives in Montreal where she loves biking, reading outside whenever possible, and enjoying the occasional tasty pastry.

Josep Puchades

Born in Valencia, Josep Puchades studied in Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, Yale University and Mozarteum Salzburg. Main teachers include Luis Llácer, Jesse Levine, Tokyo String Quartet and Thomas Riebl.
Passionate chamber musician he is currently the violist of Cuarteto Quiroga, prizewinner of several of the most prestigious international competitions for String Quartet (Bordeaux, Geneva, Paolo Borciani, Beijing, Paris), Premio Nacional de Música 2018, the Spanish Radio Culture Prize (Ojo Crítico 2007) and the Gold Medal of the Palau in Barcelona. Cuarteto Quiroga tours regularly worldwide, performing at the most important venues and festivals of the international scene.
Before joining Cuarteto Quiroga he was an active orchestra musician as a member of Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Luzern Festival Orchestra and co-principal viola in Palau de les Arts orchestra in Valencia under the leadership of Lorin Maazel and Zubin Mehta. He has also been invited to serve as guest principal violist in orchestras like Camerata Salzburg, Orchestre d’Auvergne, Camerata Bern, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española and Orchestra Sinfónica della RAI, and has worked with conductors like Claudio Abbado, Seiji Ozawa, Valery Gergiev, J.E Gardiner, Andris Nelsons, Pierre Boulez and Daniel Harding.
A very committed pedagogue, he has taught viola and chamber music in the Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid and Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and is currently viola professor In Musikene (San Sebastian).
As a violist he has been awarded several prizes, such as 3rd Prize in the II internacional Viola Competition in Viena and 1st prize in the Woolsey hall Competition, New Haven (USA), and played as soloist with Orquesta de Cámara Reina Sofía, Viena Radio Orchestra, Yale Philharmonia and Jove Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana.
He has given recitals in Europe, USA and has played chamber music with artists like Martha Argerich, Veronika Hagen, Julian Rachlin, Valentin Erben, Gary Hoffman, Antje Weithass, Jerusalem String Quartet, Doric String Quartet and Quatour Voce.

They studied at the CNSMD of Paris (Bachelor & Master’s degree then Artist Diploma) and are ECMA alumnis (European Chamber Music Academy). They have received the teachings of Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt, Trio Wanderer, Hatto Beyerle, Avedis Kouyoumdjian…

Eva plays an italian violin named “Le Bel Inconnu” made by Nicolo Amati and Antonio Stradivari which is generously loaned to her. Raphaël plays a cello of Matteo Goffriller (Venise, 1700-1710), previously in the possession of Antonio Meneses, and a bow Lamy Fils, both graciously provided by the company CANIMEX INC., from Drummondville (Quebec), Canada

También recibieron el 2º Premio y el Premio del Público en el Concurso Internacional de Música de Cámara de Illzach, el Gran Premio en el Concurso AEAFC “Prix d’Europe”, el Premio de Honor en el Concurso Internacional Léopold Bellan, una beca de la FNAPEC tras su actuación en el Concurso “Musiques d’Ensemble de Paris”, y los premios KammerMusik Preis (2018), Klavierkammermusik Preis y Wiener Klassik Preis (2019) en el Festival Isa en Reichenau, Austria.

Su primer CD, “D’un matin de printemps”, fue lanzado en abril de 2021 con el sello Mirare. Con un programa íntegramente francés (Ravel, Saint-Saëns, Boulanger), el álbum recibió aclamación crítica. En abril de 2023, el Trío lanzó su segundo álbum, “Bohemia”, con un programa checo (Smetana, Novák, Fibich), que fue galardonado con el CHOC Classica.

Estudiaron en el CNSMD de París (licenciatura, maestría y Diploma de Artista) y son exalumnos de la ECMA (Academia Europea de Música de Cámara). Han recibido enseñanzas de Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt, el Trío Wanderer, Hatto Beyerle y Avedis Kouyoumdjian, entre otros.

El Trío es “Ensemble en résidence” en la Fondation Singer-Polignac y está representado por la Agencia Claire Laballery.

Eva toca un violín italiano llamado “Le Bel Inconnu”, fabricado por Nicolo Amati y Antonio Stradivari, que le ha sido generosamente prestado. Raphaël toca un violonchelo de Matteo Goffriller (Venecia, 1700-1710), anteriormente en posesión de Antonio Meneses, y un arco Lamy Fils, ambos proporcionados amablemente por la empresa CANIMEX INC., de Drummondville (Quebec), Canadá.

Josep Puchades

violista

Nacido en Valencia, Josep Puchades estudió en el Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, la Universidad de Yale y el Mozarteum de Salzburgo. Sus principales profesores fueron Luis Llácer, Jesse Levine, el Cuarteto de Cuerdas de Tokio y Thomas Riebl.
Apasionado músico de cámara, actualmente es el violista del Cuarteto Quiroga, ganador de varios de los concursos internacionales más prestigiosos para cuartetos de cuerda (Burdeos, Ginebra, Paolo Borciani, Pekín, París), el Premio Nacional de Música 2018, el Premio Ojo Crítico de Radio Nacional de España 2007 y la Medalla de Oro del Palau de Barcelona. El Cuarteto Quiroga realiza giras regularmente por todo el mundo, actuando en los escenarios y festivales más importantes de la escena internacional.
Antes de unirse al Cuarteto Quiroga, fue un activo músico de orquesta como miembro de la Mahler Chamber Orchestra, la Orquesta del Festival de Lucerna y viola coprincipal en la orquesta del Palau de les Arts en Valencia bajo la dirección de Lorin Maazel y Zubin Mehta. También ha sido invitado como viola principal en orquestas como Camerata Salzburg, Orchestre d’Auvergne, Camerata Bern, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Radio Televisión Española y Orquesta Sinfónica della RAI, y ha trabajado con directores como Claudio Abbado, Seiji Ozawa, Valery Gergiev, J.E. Gardiner, Andris Nelsons, Pierre Boulez y Daniel Harding.
Comprometido pedagogo, ha impartido clases de viola y música de cámara en el Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid y el Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, y actualmente es profesor de viola en Musikene (San Sebastián).
Como violista, ha recibido varios premios, como el 3er Premio en el II Concurso Internacional de Viola en Viena y el 1er Premio en el Concurso Woolsey Hall en New Haven (EE.UU.), y ha actuado como solista con la Orquesta de Cámara Reina Sofía, la Orquesta de Radio Viena, la Yale Philharmonia y la Jove Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana.
Ha ofrecido recitales en Europa y EE.UU. y ha interpretado música de cámara con artistas como Martha Argerich, Veronika Hagen, Julian Rachlin, Valentin Erben, Gary Hoffman, Antje Weithass, el Cuarteto de Cuerdas de Jerusalén, el Cuarteto de Cuerdas Doric y el Quatuor Voce.

Meagan Milatz,

Piano

Meagan Milatz, ganadora del Premio Opus 2024 “Descubrimiento del Año”, es “una pianista notable con una paleta de expresión aparentemente ilimitada” (Le Devoir). Meagan comparte regularmente el escenario con músicos internacionales de primer nivel, incluyendo a Andrew Wan, concertino de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Montreal; Stefan Dohr, corno principal de la Filarmónica de Berlín; el violonchelista Matt Haimovitz; y el mandolinista Avi Avital. En 2022, Meagan fue nombrada codirectora artística de HausMusique, junto al violonchelista Cameron Crozman.

Galardonada con el Premio Choquette-Symcox 2024 por la Fundación Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Meagan ha actuado recientemente con Olivier Charlier, Michel Michalakakos, Cho-Liang Lin, Peter Hanson, Pablo Hernán Benedí, Steven Dann y el tubista Øystein Baadsvik, entre otros. A nivel internacional, Meagan se presentó en el Festival de Piano de New Ross en Irlanda en 2023, siendo la primera música canadiense invitada, y en el Festival Internacional de Música de Cámara Edeta Arts, donde actuó en España con los violinistas Wolfgang Redik en 2024 y Kai Gleusteen, concertino de la Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, en 2022. Recientemente, Meagan emprendió una gira de recitales por Europa en 2024 con el violonchelista Cameron Crozman en Italia, Francia, Malta y Portugal.

Meagan ha actuado como solista con orquestas como las Sinfónicas de Edmonton, Regina, Sherbrooke y McGill. Fue ganadora del primer premio en el Concurso de Piano Shean, el Concurso Nacional de Piano CFMTA y el Concurso de Música Canadiense, además de recibir un Premio de la Fundación de Música Sylva Gelber. Sus interpretaciones se transmiten regularmente en CBC/Radio-Canada.

Meagan tiene un contrato de grabación para nueve álbumes de música solista y de cámara con ATMA Classique. Recientemente grabó un álbum de música para fortepiano y corno natural junto a Louis-Pierre Bergeron, lanzado en diciembre de 2023. También ha iniciado una nueva colaboración de dúo de violín y piano, “Duo M”, junto a la renombrada violinista Violaine Melançon, miembro fundador del Trío Peabody. Durante la temporada 2019/2020, Meagan realizó una gira de 50 conciertos por Canadá con la violinista Amy Hillis como el dúo “meagan&amy”, ganadoras de la primera Gira de Recitales de Asociación Pan-Canadiense ofrecida por Jeunesses Musicales Canada, Debut Atlantic y Prairie Debut.

Meagan comenzó sus estudios en Saskatchewan y tiene una maestría de la Universidad McGill. Está agradecida con sus profesores y mentores de toda la vida, Cherith Alexander, Ilya Poletaev, Philip Chiu y Tom Beghin, con quien tuvo el gran privilegio de estudiar fortepiano. Apasionada por ayudar a la próxima generación de jóvenes músicos, es una dedicada miembro del cuerpo docente de la “Session sonates violon et piano” del Camp Musical du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

“Con una rica imaginación y una mente aguda” (Diapason Magazine), el violonchelista canadiense Cameron Crozman lleva una activa carrera como solista y músico de cámara en Canadá, Estados Unidos y Europa. Ha actuado como solista con la Orchestre National d’Ile-de-France (París), las Sinfónicas de Montreal, Winnipeg, Hamilton y Vancouver Island, entre otras, y sus presentaciones lo han llevado desde la Philharmonie de París y el Shanghai Oriental Arts Centre hasta la Qidi Vidi Brewery en St. John’s, Terranova. Apasionado colaborador y músico de cámara, Cameron comparte escenario con artistas eminentes como James Ehnes, Augustin Hadelich, Louis Lortie, Gérard Caussé, James Campbell y miembros de los Cuartetos de Cuerda Ébène, New Zealand y Penderecki.

Ganador del Premio Virginia Parker 2021 del Consejo de las Artes de Canadá, el mayor reconocimiento para músicos clásicos emergentes, Cameron fue el artista Revelación Clásica 2019 de CBC/Radio-Canada y laureado de la Classe d’Excellence de Gautier Capuçon en la Fundación Louis Vuitton en París. Su álbum debut, Cavatine, grabado con el violonchelo Stradivarius “Bonjour” de ca. 1696 junto al pianista Philip Chiu, fue lanzado en 2019 y descrito por la revista francesa Classica como una muestra de “perfección técnica con un estilo personal que nos deja con ganas de escuchar más”. Desde entonces, ha grabado varios discos para los sellos ATMA Classique en Canadá y Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo en Mónaco. Su lanzamiento más reciente, de mayo de 2024, con los Conciertos para violonchelo de Haydn y el Rondo de Jacques Hétu, interpretados con Les Violons du Roy y el director Nicolas Ellis, ha recibido elogios internacionales. Sus actuaciones son transmitidas por CBC, BBC, RTÉ Radio, Radio France y Medici.tv.

Profundamente comprometido con la música contemporánea, Cameron lidera proyectos encargando y estrenando nuevas obras de destacados compositores canadienses como Alexina Louie, Allan Gordon Bell, Liam Ritz, James O’Callaghan y Kelly-Marie Murphy. Tras estudiar en Canadá con Paul Pulford, fue alumno del Conservatoire de París, donde recibió su “Prix de violoncelle” con las más altas distinciones en la clase de Michel Strauss y música de cámara con Claire Désert y Ami Flammer. En 2018, recibió un año de mentoría con el violinista James Ehnes como parte del premio André-Bourbeau de Jeunesses Musicales Canada. Apasionado por enseñar a la próxima generación, ha sido invitado a impartir clases magistrales en la Académie Rainier III en Mónaco, la Universidad Lawrence (Wisconsin), la Universidad de Montreal, el Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo en Valencia y la Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa, entre otros.

Cameron es cofundador de ClassicalValley, un festival que combina música de cámara y vino en el Valle de Okanagan, Columbia Británica, Canadá, y director artístico de música de cámara para el Festival Internacional Edeta Arts en Llíria, España, designada Ciudad Creativa de la Música por la UNESCO. Junto con la pianista Meagan Milatz, produce una serie de conciertos de música de cámara en Montreal llamada “HausMusique” en la icónica Grande Salle del noveno piso del Eaton Centre, un espacio emblemático del Art Deco en América del Norte. Actualmente toca un violonchelo Gennaro Gagliano de ca. 1750, generosamente prestado por el Banco de Instrumentos del Consejo de las Artes de Canadá.
